pre-production

Pre Production

During the pre-production phase, we will work with you to plan the AV requirements for your event. This will involve specifying the AV required, creating set and staging designs, CAD drawings and of course a budget.

For most events we will carry out a site survey to check the event space dimensions, power availability, load in route and other important details to ensure a smooth onsite delivery.

Additionally, our studio team can also help you with designing and creating any opening videos, walk on stings, printed graphics, and presentations.

Set & Staging

The set and stage is usually the centre piece of your event, where the audience’s attention is focused. So, something that looks professional and on brand helps to give a good atmosphere to the event.

Sets can be constructed in a variety of ways. We have pre-fabricated set pieces that can be used, panels to be covered in felt or graphics, and can offer custom design and build if you are looking for something a little different. We also have a variety of stage furniture such as lecterns, chairs and sofas depending on the feel you wish to achieve at the event.

Sound, Projection & Video

The audience hearing your presenters is a key component to your event. On site, our production manager will take responsibility to ensure all presenters are fitted with microphones and briefed on how to use them correctly, whilst the sound engineer monitors and controls from the mixing desk.

Most events have presentation content to display such as slides or videos. We can advise on the correct size screens and positioning depending on audience size. Our technicians will run your content seamlessly from the control desk, switching between sources such as laptops and videos.

Lighting

Lighting can range from a basic white wash of the stage, so that the audience can see your presentation, to a full lighting production complete with colour changeable LED lighting, special effects and moving lights.

Lighting can be used to create atmosphere and feeling at your event, and help to generate visual changes to different sections of content, whist emphasising the event’s brand identity.

Technical Crew

We believe the success of any event’s AV production rests with the AV crew. We will be there to support you throughout the event as part of your team.

Your main contact will be with the technical production manager who leads the team. They will be there to help you with all queries. In addition, the rest of the crew will include sound engineers, projectionists, camera operators and general technicians who each run a different aspect of the production.
